Trickery and deceitful schemes is what Paul chose to focus on to define being children. It is sad that we are still dealing with eloquent communicators with empty words to satisfy the flesh but not equipping disciples in the Spirit. The church must accept the challenge to speak the truth in love. This does not mean a kind and gentle word. This means we must call out the tricks and schemes so that everyone is aware and warned about the ungodly.
